Yemen is facing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis. Conflict has displaced nearly three million people, and precipitated one of the worst cholera epidemics in history. The country is on the verge of famine: More than 17 million people (more than half of Yemen’s total population) do not have enough food, 16 million lack clean water, and thousands have been killed and wounded in air strikes and other fighting.
Oxfam has helped more than a million people so far this year, providing clean water and hygiene items to help them avoid cholera, cash to help them buy food, and support for earning a living through agriculture and small businesses. Oxfam is also advocating for all sides of the conflict to end the war. We are urgently seeking funds to assist the millions of people caught in the middle of this devastating conflict.
